However the primarily focus deals with the turbulent times of World War II. Author E. B. Potter served in the United States Navy during World War II and rose to the rank of Commander. Mrs. Nimitz chose Potter to write her husband’s biography after his death. A few years later Potter wrote “Bull Halsey” the biography of Admiral William ‘Bull’ Halsey. 1976 Hardback edition with dust jacket, see photo above.
